Broadcast Sunday, January 4, on NPR’s Weekend Edition, it featured the African Children’s Choir, whose members are orphans from some of the poorest countries in the world. The choir is currently on a year-long tour in the United States; the proceeds of their concerts will pay for their education when they return to Africa.
