New Friday Night Series: The PHILOSOPHY OF KRIYA YOGAOctober through December, Swami Shankarananda is offering a Friday evening series of talks on The PHILOSOPHY OF KRIYA YOGA.  This is the first time this series has been offered.  Kriya is both a powerful, transforming meditation technique and a practical spiritual philosophy of living.  At the conclusion of the series of talks, Swami will offer kriya initiation to those who are interested and qualifiedMONTHLY SPIRITUAL DISCUSSION GROUP, First Sunday of the MonthSwami Shankarananda faciltiates a lively and enlightening discussion based on questions attendees have written anonymously.  All are welcome. Participants may drop in to any group.  The discussion begins at 3 and doors open at 2:45. MONTHLY TAOISM DISCUSSION GROUP, Third Sunday of the Month:  Cancelled for December and Resumes in January.  Each month, we discuss one passage from the Tao Te Ching written by the Taoist sage Lao-Tzu.  The emphasis is always on the direct application of Taoism in our everyday life.  Swami Shankarananda facilitates this relaxed and joyful discussion and everyone participates at the level they are comfortable with.  All are welcome and no previous experience with Taoism is needed. Participants may drop in to any group.  The discussion begins at  4 p.m., and doors open  at 3:45. MEDITATION GROUP, First and Third Wednesday  of the month: Our group meditation has expanded to twice monthly.  The meditation is located at the church and led by Premadas, Michael Humphrey.  The meditation begins at 8 p.m., and the church doors will open at 7:50.  Please come in silently and take your seat.
